Kenzie Parks’ Head Instructor is Stephanie Gillespie who began riding at around 9 years of age. Pony Club provided a great introduction to horse management and competition and Stephanie quickly progressed up to the highest levels and then out into open EA competition.
A University degree and successful career in the Sustainability sector slowed down the competition schedule but after Mackenzie was born Stephanie and Michael decided to move out to semi rural Riddells Creek and ever since Kenzie Park has been rapidly developing into a fully appointed Equestrian Centre.
Stephanie currently competes a number of horses from young horse through to FEI level dressage, Royal Shows and Pre-Novice eventing . She is also one of the few riders in Australia who holds an RA1 German FN Riders licence (Reitabzeichen) which enables her to compete up to Grand Prix level in Germany.
Stephanie began competing at EA at the age of 14 in dressage and 17 in eventing with considerable success at State Level PCAV dressage, eventing and showing. Stephanie compete at Victorian State Dressage Championships each year on horses that she has trained herself.
Riders are taught according to the German Training Scale along classical lines. Influences in Stephanie’s riding have included Sally Swift, Franz Mairinger and Philipe Karl.
Her main is focus on correct training to produce a supple athletic horse and a happy athlete.
